You are my new best friend. :) Seriously, thank you for the kind comments. It's a little... anxious to put these half finished songs up. Thanks for hearing what they could be rather than what they are.

Angelina, thanks for your nice comments on "When You're With Me." I agree with you, I think segers (Larry) brings out some real nice emotion in the song. Thanks for listening!

Did I really say "it nice"? Well, it *is*.

Thanks again for commenting. I'll take Randy Newman as a sound-alike. I've been playing around with genres this summer, trying to figure out what's a good fit with my meager skills. Seems like I ought to be able to settle on a sound. Maybe it's easier with a band, because you all have your constraints and you sort of *have* to focus.

Thanks again for listening. I hope to get (a) time, and (b) energy again for that soon. Between my 5090 hangover and the pileup that came from neglecting work for music, I'm a little overwhelmed right now.

Thanks, Angelina. It nice to hear from you.

On Spontaneous Combustion, I don't know of any other songs by that name. There probably are some. The title just brought to mind a couple other ways it could go.
Why sure, on borrowing a couple of mine or better yet just whup up some music right quick for one of my vacant lyrics and you can make 10 before nightfall :)

Thanks for the comment on "Waiting". No doubt I will sing Alex Marie to sleep with it now and then! The timing was wonderful.

Thanks Angelina, I'm looking foreward to it!

Great sound Angela, I really appreciate your comments, if you'd be up for a collab, let me know, I'd love one!

I think of her as Angelina Powers-Uit. Say hi to Mr. Uit for me!

Hi Angel-in-a-Powersuit :) (I was one of those who thought of you as Angelina, btw)

Thanks so much for re-initiating comments between us. I definitely value your feedback and encouragement. And I say if I've encouraged you to keep writing, then I've done the world a favor! :) Keep going! You've got a precious sensitivity to the world to share, and a really unique sound all your own. Sounds like you are part of a very special family as well, which makes you quite lucky and well blessed on top of it all! I'm glad you're here again. Will come back to catch up some more...

Thanks for the comments and compliments on my slide playing, I have updated the mix as you suggested.

P.S

Just realised in your bio it is "Angel In A Powersuit", I had been reading it as "Angelina Powersuit", made it sound like a burlesque performer LOL.

Thanks for the comment on Bye Bye Baby - there were several kids taking lead vocals (in turns). We found some real talent!

Thanks for the kind comments on my attempts to channel William Shatner. The real beauty was in Mikes lyrics ;)

Re: Industrial Revolution - Glad you enjoyed it.. I didn't think the demo was good ... but I def think it has potential

You like the "because" etc. lyric in Crapulent Oldsters? ") About meaningless lyrics - I totally agree with you, I know exactly what the lyrics mean, even if they seem incoherent to others, I don't care. I only write for myself, anyway. :)

Just stepping in here to say I think programming drums is hard too, and wishing I could figure out how to do it better. I think I just don't think like a drummer somehow. Maybe we need a how-to thread in the forums about this?

Howdy! I wouldn't pull the drums from Circle of Sisters. I think they work, but could use a little tweaking. Maybe more of a hand drum sound. Programming drums is hard, and is usually the most frustrating part of recording (for me, anyway). I think you're getting there, and certainly getting the job done. :-) What program do you use?

Thanks for your kind comments. I'm looking forward to listening to all of your songs. I really (really, really) like what you've done so far, so might we have some more? The people await! :)

Thanks for your very nice comments on "Nothing Here For You." Yeah, I agree about the bridge...I had trouble with it and am tossing a couple ideas around for those last two lines. It's so helpful to have your perspective!!

Thanks for your comment on "Colours Change." I had meant for the green to signify new life, and hope. But I also love the stop/go idea that you mentioned; I hadn't thought of it in that light but it certainly applies and fits the meaning of the song.

Thank you again for the time listening and for the extensive comments! :) I will be sure to post lyrics.

Phew! I was feeling really inadequate. But seriously though, those lyrics are fantastic. thanks for the comments!

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment on Enchanted Sand. I composed the music and Kristi is working on the lyrics.

Sorry I disappeared for a bit...in answer to your question from way back I used clip distortion in logic express on the "bright funky crunch" setting. It's unfortunately not available in garageband.

Now I'm off to see what you've been up to :)

Demo is up for Truth is You Lied (Shay).

Thank you for your very kind words!

Thank you for all of your comments! I'm not sure that I know how to play indie. :)

Thanks for your comment on Shooting Star Summit! :)
I think I'll go back and really polish it up later on... I've been spending hours today just trying to find some rocket sounds. :P

Thanks so much for your very generous comments on "A Midnight Duet." Originally, I had a different title that was too cutesy or something...had to get rid of it! lol Your bridge ideas are very good. That bridge is driving me nuts, so it's great to see some new ideas! I appreciate you taking the time to offer your suggestions!

Thanks so much for the lovely comment on "These Days." I *wish* I had an awesome voice--but it's really nice to hear someone likes it. Shay has revised the lyrics and I'm going to put together another version soon. Hope I don't ruin it. :)

Thank you, angelinapowersuit!
That one is going to be fun to do live!

Thanks for commenting on Lemon blossom. The main guitar sound came by accident. I blistered my fingers working the part out, so some of the guitars are real and the one out front is programmed. It was just the only one that fitted out of the Logic sounds.

Hi, I just wanted to say sorry i haven't commented yet on your songs, i barely spend any time at home and your songs are hosted in a place that the firewall at work won't let me listen to!

thanks for the comments! and great ideas on 'open my heart'...maybe we should work on that together!
be careful what you wish for with the 'my love's in schenectady' idea--- cause it's coming!

Hope to hear some new stuff!

come on in, the water's fine! We need you here at 50/90! :)
